I will keep this blog short, but sweet - in recognition of the school break, and the many other things occupying your time and energies, including, I hope, the opportunity to spend more time with your family.

However, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the diversity of our community, and to welcome our scholars to both UWCSEA, and to Singapore. The graphic below captures, for me, the essence of our College's mission by illustrating our strong commitment to our scholarship programme in particular. In common with our 17 sister schools across the UWC movement, UWCSEA is committed to ensuring that students of exceptional promise and potential from all over the world are provided opportunities to join our community via our scholarship programme and this year we continue to welcome these exceptional individuals to our campus and community.

As I have reflected on some of the challenges of the last year, I have also witnessed the extraordinary efforts of our community to support our incoming students who have been faced with extended periods of remote learning while they waited to be able to join us in Singapore. This  simple graphic illustrates the scholarship programme for this school year, and yet it is so much more – it seems to capture the power of our mission and our shared values:
